Which Toyota 200 models will this unit fit?

The 200Maxx is designed to fit the following models:

Yes, it comes with a plug and play harness

How much warranty does the unit come with?

The 200Maxx comes with 2 years warranty

Does it come with any navigation?

The 200Maxx comes standard with wireless Carplay and wired Android Auto. No adaptor required as it is built into the head unit. This means you can use your phone’s navigation through the head unit.

You can then add on any mapping options you want as an optional extra.

So how do i navigate with the built in Carplay / Android Auto?

iPhone users can use navigation apps such as Apple maps, Google, Waze etc.

Android users can use navigation apps such as Google maps, Waze etc.

What is Carplay & Android Auto?

Apple CarPlay lets you use a selection of your Iphone’s functions directly through your car’s built-in infotainment system.  Apple CarPlay is often more user-friendly and faster to respond than the standard features built into many infotainment systems

Android Auto brings a selection of apps to your car display so you can focus while you drive. You can control features like navigation, maps, calls, text messages, and music.

Do i need internet connectivity for Carplay or Android Auto

Yes, as you are still using your phone, only now it is  appearing on the head unit with a specific interface designed for a head unit.

Does Apple Carplay and Android Auto mirror my phone?

No! Apple Carplay & Android Auto were designed with safety in mind and this is why not every app that you have on your phone will appear when in Carplay or Android Auto mode.

Only Apple approved apps will appear in Carplay and Google approved apps will appear in Android Auto.

Do you offer a GPS option that is preloaded on an SD card that doesn't require internet connectivity?

There is no SD card input in the 200Maxx , however we are trying to work on a street mapping solution so watch this space!

If i buy the HEMA Off Road maps, does this include street navigation as well?

No, the HEMA Off Road maps is not your traditional turn by turn navigation. It is an off road mapping system powered by Oziexplorer that uses real time tracking of GPS position (moving maps).

 

Do i need internet connectivity for the HEMA maps?

No, we preload the maps onto a USB and you only need GPS satellite.

Does the ExplorOz Traveller app work with your head unit?

Yes, we have worked with the developers to ensure that their app works with our head unit.

Exploreoz Traveller is a great mapping system for both on & off road with good reviews and might be worth checking out if you want a mapping system that provides the best of both worlds.

Please note that there are a few settings that need to be changed which we can advise at the time of purchase.

Does it have bluetooth?

Yes you can pair your phone via bluetooth and:

• Make / receive hand free phone calls
• Import contacts
• Stream audio via bluetooth

Will my iPhone work with an android unit?

Yes, it has Wireless Carplay built in, so your iPhone will work with the Carplay interface.

Does it come with a reverse camera?

Yes the unit will come with a free reverse camera which you have an option of the following cameras:

Does it have a second camera input?

Yes the 200Maxx has a second camera input which can be used for a front camera or a caravan camera.

Can i run more than 2 cameras through the head unit?

Yes, we have control boxes available that will allow you to add more cameras. Contact us at sales@polarisgps.com.au to get advice on the best setup for your application.

I want to add a caravan camera and have it appear on the head unit, what do i need?

We have a dedicated kit for adding a caravan camera for an extra $295.00 which includes:

• RCA Adaptor
• 7 metre extension cable
• WOZA caravan/Trailer cable kit
• Caravan Camera

Simply select the kit at the top of the page to add it to your cart.

If i add a caravan camera, can i view it on my head unit at any time?

Yes, there is  dedicated Camera app on the head unit that allows you to view the additional camera at any time.

Does the unit come with built in radio?

Yes the unit comes with analogue AM/FM Radio

Please note that it is not digital radio (DAB+), however you can download many different compatible radio apps on the head unit and stream radio*

Does the unit have a CD player?

No

Does the unit have a DVD player?

No

Does it have a USB input?

Yes the unit has USB inputs.

Does it have WiFi Capability?

Yes, you can use a portable Wifi device or your phones personal hotspot to connect up to Wifi.

Can i insert a sim card into the unit?

No.

Does it have an SD card slot?

No

Can i install other apps onto the head unit?

Yes you can download compatible apps from the Google Playstore.

Please note that not every app is going to be compatible with the head unit. We can try and help you out as much as possible with third party apps but sometimes there will be third party apps that will not work.

What is the Camps Australia Option?

The Camps 11 POI is a great addition to the book. Camps 11 POI add on will allow you to input the Camps 11 locations by their corresponding number in the book and will give you turn by turn directions. No more putting in coordinates!

The Camps 11 Option is $39.95, if you wish to purchase this, please select this option at the top of the page to add it to cart*.

*The Camps 11 add on requires the Tom Tom navigation option which we are working on.

Can i connect a OBD diagnostic reader to the head unit?

Yes however, only Wifi Compatible OBD Readers will work with the head unit.

Can i connect TPMS to the head unit?

Yes however, only Wifi Compatible TPMS sensors will work with the head unit.

Can i run a dash camera through the head unit?

Yes, you can purchase Android compatible DVR cameras online and run the camera through one of the USB connections.

 

Can i fit this product myself?

Yes it is possible however,  the wiring and installation of this unit requires special technical skill and experience. If you do not feel confident installing this product or do not have the level of skill necessary, please contact Polaris on 1300 555 514 or see out list of dealers here
