Please note before purchase: You may only be able to access your trailer camera when traveling under 10km/h. Some Ford dealerships may be able to enable a setting that allows viewing the trailer camera above 10km/h, though this option may not be available at all locations.
What is the kit for?
- All Next Gen Rangers that do not have the pre-installed camera wiring under their glove box.
- You already have a CVBS Safety Dave Camera on the rear of your caravan and a Safety Dave extension cable for the car.

- Cluster panel plug (model: CA27)
- Safety Dave to Polaris Adaptor

What does Ford need to do so i can add a caravan camera to my existing head unit?
In their recently revised Body Building manual, all the information is located on page 114-116:
‘Reprogramming of the APIM and the IPMA using the FDRS will be required to allow the IPMA to display the auxiliary rear view camera whilst the vehicle is moving. See your local Ford Dealer or National Sales agent for further information on the APIM reprogramming’
‘Only vehicles with Digital Rear Vision and/or 360 deg Cameras (J3KAH or J3KAR) have the IPMA capability to support aftermarket fitment of an Auxiliary camera (NTSC format)’
They also may not be able to program it to work when you exceed 8-10km/h – please see FAQ for more information.
