Q: What is the difference between the EV50 and EV70 kits?
The only difference is the monitor size. The EV50 comes with a 5" screen and the EV70 comes with a larger 7" screen. Both kits use the same camera options.
Q: Which cameras are best for night vision?
The Black Infrared Camera and White Round Infrared Camera are the best options for night use as they feature built-in infrared LEDs. The Miniature Camera and Canopy Camera do not have infrared, however they work well at night for reversing because your reverse lights will illuminate the area behind the vehicle.
Q: Can I choose my camera style?
Yes. You can select from four camera options: Miniature Camera, Canopy Camera, Black Infrared Camera or White Round Infrared Camera.
Q: Can the system be wired for constant vision as well as reversing?
Yes. The kit can be wired so the monitor only activates when you are in reverse, or for constant vision while driving.
Q: Does the Miniature Camera come with a mounting bracket?
A: Yes. It comes with both a butterfly bracket for flexible mounting and a number plate bracket if you prefer to mount it on your number plate.
Q: Which Camera should I choose?
Mini Camera – Best for cars and SUVs. Small, discreet design with the option to mount on your number plate.
Canopy Camera – Designed for 4WDs and utilities with canopies or tray setups. A durable option that sits neatly at the rear of a canopy or tray back.
White Round Infrared Camera – A popular choice for motorhomes. The round style integrates neatly on larger vehicles and the infrared LEDs provide clear night vision.
Black Infrared Camera – Heavy-duty design suited to motorhomes, light trucks and commercial vehicles. Built-in infrared LEDs for low-light reversing.
Q: Can I mount the monitor in place of my rear vision mirror or on the windscreen instead of the dash?
A: Yes. We offer two optional mounting brackets:
- A suction bracket that attaches securely to the windscreen
- A universal-style mirror mount that allows you to mount the monitor where your rear vision mirror sits
Both options are available as $25 extras, giving you flexibility in how you install your system.
